Just a short stroll from Wharfe Camp, The Kings Head is everything a Yorkshire Dales pub should be: warm, relaxed, and proudly local. Ben and Nichola – along with Molly the springer spaniel – took over in 2025, and have recently signed a lease to take on The Falcon Inn in neighbouring Arncliffe, bringing fresh energy and friendly Yorkshire hospitality to the heart of Kettlewell.
Muddy boots and muddy paws are very much welcome, making it the perfect stop after a wander up the valley or a gentle riverside loop. Inside, you’ll find proper homemade Yorkshire food, classic pub favourites, and a cosy fire when the weather turns.
Their signature pies are the star of the show: steak & ale, lamb & mint, and a rotating selection of up to six hearty options. Every Wednesday, enjoy any two pies for £30, followed by a lively quiz night where campers, locals and visitors all join in.
Expect: • Daily specials made with Yorkshire ingredients • Local ales and quality wines • A friendly buzz all year round.
The Kings Head is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but open the rest of the week for relaxed lunches, comforting dinners, and easygoing evenings.
Whether you’re calling in for a pint, a pie, or a warm welcome, this village pub is a must‑visit during your stay at Wharfe Camp.
