If you're seeking peace, tranquility, and stunning natural beauty, Wharfe Camp deserves a spot on your bucket list. Nestled on the edge of the charming village of Kettlewell in the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales National Park, our campsite is perfectly situated with a variety of visitor attractions just a short drive away.
A leisurely walk will take you to the heart of Kettlewell, where you'll find three welcoming pubs serving food, a deli café, an ice cream parlour, and a well-stocked village store. The village also has a car park with EV charging points, a laundry, a garage, and everything you need for your stay.
Wharfe Camp is a small, adult-only haven cherished by hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers. We offer:
- Five spacious tent pitches (max 2 adults) accommodating tents up to 6m in length.
- A campervan hard-standing (max 2 adults) for RVs not exceeding 5m in length (please note: motorhomes are not permitted).
- Two fully equipped camping pods (max 2 adults), perfect for those who enjoy a touch of comfort and a cosy bed.
Electric hook-ups are available, and you can park alongside your pitch (ground conditions permitting), or in our car park. Site facilities include communal toilets, washbasins, an electric shower, and an outdoor washing-up and recycling area.
At Wharfe Camp, we prioritise a peaceful and respectful atmosphere for solo campers and couples. We kindly ask guests to avoid loud music and close car doors gently in consideration of fellow campers. Please note that pets, group bookings, and visitors are not permitted. This is to ensure the serene environment we value.
As a small adult-only site, our availability is limited, and we're proud to welcome many repeat guests every year. Early booking is highly recommended to secure your spot.
As an enthusiastic camper and walker, I feel fortunate to have taken over Wharfe Camp and live out my dream. I'm excited to meet you and look forward to welcoming you to this special retreat in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

From booking to the end of my stay everything was easy, well thought out and executed to a superb high standard. Fabulous location, amazing walks, facilities are spotless and lovely little touches like fresh eggs and milk were much appreciated. Sean is a friendly, engaging host ;a mindful custodian of the well being of everyone staying on the site which is immaculate and totally in keeping with its beautiful surroundings. Expect amazing wildlife and wild flowers, fabulous walking, dark skies and open landscapes a haven of peace in which to sit out and chill after a glorious day spent walking or simply being at one with the Dales.

Absolutely loved this site. The location is idyllic and surrounded by hills, fields and wildlife. Ideal for walking or heading out in the car. The site has everything you need and Sean is really helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed it so much we booked again before we left! You can walk to kettlewell in minutes for hikes or buses or pubs and eateries. You can drive to so many attractions. We visited all the pubs and all really nice.
The facilities were really clean and and we loved the segregated pitches so it's clear where you are and what space you have which was really generous on our pitch.
Perfect quiet site for a relaxing break and being around nature. Cant wait to stay again

What a wonderful site!
We arrived for 2 nights camping at the weekend and had a pitch at the top of the field. It was a large pitch, with electric, separated by hedges from the next pitch meaning there felt like plenty of space. Our favourite bit - The quiet! It was so lovely to have an exclusively adult site, with respectful campers. It feels very spacious as there are so few spaces on the site, but the facilities are all well kept and clean. Will definitely be coming back! We also enjoyed the company of the Silkie chicken we named 'Snowball'.
